The Opportunity

We are looking for a driven and self-motivated Account Executive to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will report directly to that regions Director Pharma & Research and will be responsible for revenue generation, new customer acquisition, and profitable promotion of Biocare and Empire Genomics FISH probe reagents including catalog and custom items to existing and future customers. Focus on customers in clinical markets as well as research/pharmaceutical/biotech markets. Detailed knowledge of cytogenomics, molecular biology, DNA microarray, and/or FISH techniques. In summary, the ideal candidate is one who demonstrates they have the attitude, aptitude, and ambition to make a difference for good and for growth within our organization.

Position Requirements & Major Responsibilities

  • Drives growth across all segments – clinical, pharma, biotech, and distribution channels.
  • Seeks out prospective customers/business opportunities with new and existing customers while utilizing funnel process to move forward sales process.
  • Manages territory utilizing Sales Force.Com (SFDC) and analyze trends via Business Intelligence tools to maximize revenue.
  • Meets Annual quota and objective goals set forth in the defined territory.
  • Introduces and demonstrates new products to existing and new accounts.
  • Generate quotations, - sales agreements, and multi-year pricing contracts to secure new business.
  • Report competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management.
  • Maintains ethical, cooperative manufacturer relationships consistent with company image and company/branch goals in the marketplace.
  • Coordinate the sales process across the entire value chain including lab techs, lab managers, pathologists, procurement, and any individual involved in the decision-making process.
  • Completes sales calls and expense reports on a timely basis in accordance with company policy.
  • Develop and maintain a sales forecast to help analyze market conditions and/or changes in assigned territory for maximum productivity and sales growth.
  • Map existing and target accounts with SFDC ClosePlan™ to ensure proper deployment of the Biocare Playbook.
  • Coordinates customer returns and completes proper documentation on a timely basis.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Preferred Experience & Credentials

  • We will consider candidates without relevant sales experience if they possess a growth mindset, the drive and ambition of a star performer with a history of winning achievements in their work (non-work) areas. Past experience will be considered enough for us to train and develop sales talent internally.
  • Bachelor's Degree required. Selling skills professional training and/or certifications a plus.
  • Detailed knowledge of one or more of the following: cytogenetics, molecular biology, DNA microarray, and/or FISH techniques.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and able to work in a changing environment with multiple demands.
  • Self-assured problem solver capable of making risky decisions.
  • Strong motivation and drive in selling skills, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow through.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, including sales presentations, demonstrated capability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environment.
  • Excellence in CRM [please apply online] Business Intelligence (Tableau), and other sales tools as launched.
  • Proficiency in the use of a personal computer accompanied by a strong aptitude for technical applications.
  • Current valid driver's license including a safe driving record.
  • Military or Extracurricular Sports background preferred.

Compensation Range

  • $100,000 to $115,000 Annually (plus commission)
